The Secondary Education Directorate of Athens organized a Pan-Hellenic Student Short Film Competition "FilmMakers 2017 - Students Film ..." for adolescents. The key issue of the umbrella body was 'the world through the students' eyes' and included the following three categories:
- fiction film
- short animated film
- creative documentary film
This competition aimed to give students the opportunity to become researchers themselves, to develop a critical attitude towards the images that surround them, and to cultivate an aesthetic consciousness as well as a culture of multiculturalism.
Both the screening of the award-winning films and the award ceremony took place on June 3rd 2017 at the Athens College-Psychico College Theatre of the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation.
Our Centre has been a member of the organizational committee, as it was firstly proposed by Secondary Education Directorate of Athens and then approved by the Greek Ministry of Education, Research & Religious Affairs [no. pro: Φ15 / 37355 / Δ2]
